Carter Zinn is lifelong Bay Area resident and native. Carter grew up in Berkeley, and he has ridden his bike as a primary source of transportation in the Bay Area his entire life during which time he has lived in Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, and now Marin. He commutes over the Golden Gate Bridge to our San Francisco office on his bicycle every week, and he rides the roads of Marin County on the weekends, averaging about 150 miles per week total. He has also participated in numerous Century bike rides and other organized endurance rides, including the Tour of the Unknown Coast, and the Mammoth Fall Century rides.
Carter has actually ridden on the accident locations of many, if not the majority, of where their clients were riding when they were hurt. They have been doored, hit potholes and crashed, hit by cars turning right that failed to see them, and they have had tires stuck in MUNI tracks. They know the difference between falling because you just took a corner too fast, or falling because you hit an uneven roadway surface that should not have been there.
Because we have personally experienced many of the scenarios that bring bicycle accident clients to the firm, and we very familiar with bicycle terminology and the names of the components of bicycles and the role of each, our clients have found that The Zinn Law Firm is uniquely well-suited to handle bicycle accident cases. For example, the night before a deposition, you do not want to be educating your lawyer on the difference between a stem and a fork, what clipless pedals are, why you will cut to the apex of a turn when descending a mountain road, or how if you ride in the middle of most bike lanes you are in the zone to be doored. You do not have to worry about that with us.
When we started handling bicycle accident cases in 2003, we were one of two law firms whose names were given out frequently by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition as bicycle friendly lawyers. Now there are 16 such firms on the SFBC website, and counting. Today, it seems like every personal injury law firm in San Francisco, both big and small, seems to claim to be bicycle accident specialists. Before you hire an attorney for your bicycle accident case, consider asking them some of the following questions first:
If you ask each of these questions, you will find that the list substantially shrinks of so-called bicycle accident specialist attorneys with proven results. Ask these questions, and we think you will find that the attorneys at The Zinn Law Firm, who have been specializing in bicycle accident cases for thirteen years and ride every week, are still the ones to trust with your significant bicycle accident case.
